प्रश्न
The safest way to protect yourself from lightning is to be inside a car. Justify.
उत्तर
During a thunderstorm, there is a risk of lightning strikes. Trees are more likely to be struck by lightning because they are taller than people and thus closer to the clouds above. A person standing in open ground, on the other hand, is the tallest object and is more likely to be struck by lightning. A car with a metal body, on the other hand, is a near-ideal Faraday cage. When lightning strikes a car, the charge flows from the outside to the ground, but the electric field inside remains zero. The passengers inside are unharmed as a result of this.
