Given, the side of a square board is 50 cm.
So, perimeter of the square board = 4 × Side
= 4 × 50
= 200 cm
On drawing in the notebook, the perimeter of a square board = 40 cm
∴ Scale =

Hence, the used scale is 5 : 1
