प्रश्न
There are 24 balls in a pot. If 3 of them are Red, 5 of them are Blue and the remaining are Green then, what is the probability of picking out a Red ball?
उत्तर
Sample space n(S) = 24
Number of green ball = 24 – (3 + 5)
= 24 – 8
= 16
Let E2 be the event of getting a red ball
n(E2) = 3
p(E2) = `("n"("E"_2))/("n"("S"))`
= `3/24`
= `1/8`
