Three resistors of 6.0 ЁЭЫА, 2.0ЁЭЫА and 4.0ЁЭЫА are joined to an ammeter A and a cell of e.m.f. 6.0 V as
shown in fig 8.52 Calculate:
(a) the effective resistance of the circuit and
(b) the reading of ammeter.

(a) R1=6 W
`R'= R_2 + R_3 = 2 + 4 = 6 W`
`R_1` and R' in parallel :  

`1/R=1/R_1+1/R=1/6+1/6=2/6` 

R=ohm 

(b) R = 3 ohm
V = 6 V
I = ?
I = V/R = 6/3 = 2 A
