प्रश्न
What are the conditions necessary for growing millets?
Or
Why millets are called a ‘dry crop’?
उत्तर
Millets are dry crops and they can thrive even in areas with an average rainfall of 50 to 120 cm and a normal temperature ranges between 27°C to 32°C. Even inferior alluvial soils prove suitable for their production. Cultivation of millets is, therefore, more prevalent on the plateau region than on the northern plains.
