By the expression “power over the ballot box” we mean that every adult citizen has great power in the right to vote.
- By voting people elect or replace their representatives. So the elected representatives have to work for the welfare of the people. Otherwise, they may be replaced.
- The ballot box provides equality with that vote of one person, rich or poor, as good as that of any other.
