What is an acceptor circuit?

उत्तर
In communications and broadcasting, an acceptor circuit is a series LCR resonant circuit that is used to selectively pass current for a signal at only the specified frequency. An extremely sharp peak, known as the resonant frequency fr, can be seen on the resonance curve of a series LCR resonant circuit with a small resistance. This frequency of alternating signal results in a minimum impedance of R in the circuit and a maximum current. In other words, the circuit exhibits selectivity since it favours passing signals at a frequency fr while rejecting signals at other frequencies.
