There is a huge amount of information about different species that the vet has to know. The poet instead makes a funny suggestion that the person should become a human doctor, which would be easier.
• The poet is exaggerating and being hilarious. He humorously draws attention to the difficulties and hard work involved in becoming a veterinarian, but he doesn't truly discourage it. In fact, the poem honors and respects veterans by highlighting their expertise and commitment.
