- All water sources such as water tanks, reservoirs etc. should be cleaned regularly and kept uncontaminated.
- Flowing of sewage and garbage etc. into water sources should be prevented.
- Purified water (free from contamination, suspended and dissolved substances) should be used for cooking, drinking and other household purposes.
- If water is contaminated, it should be boiled and filtered before drinking.
