• Write a set of rhyming words. Make sentences or meaningful phrases in which the rhyming words appear at the end. Arrange the sentences or phrases in the form of a poem.
• Think of something that you like very much. Describe it in as much detail as you can, stressing the part you like best. Make use of suitable adjectives, adverbs or comparisons. Arrange the lines one below the other in the form of a poem.
• Observe things in your surroundings carefully. Write short but good descriptions of what you see, hear, smell, feel, etc. Arrange your observations in short lines written one below ‘the other, in the form of a poem.
• How do you feel when you are very happy or very angry or very sad? What do you say to yourself on these occasions? Try to write it down and arrange it in the form of a poem.

The Magic of a Day

The mountain so high, standing bold,
The fountain below, its waters cold.
Under the light, as the night takes its flight,
The stars above twinkle so bright.

The cool breeze whispers, soft as snow,
The fragrance of flowers begins to glow.
Bright colors in the sky, such a dream,
While flowers bloom, creating a theme.

When I'm happy, I leap and hop,
But when I’m sad, my spirit may drop.
Why do I feel this way today?
How could I make it go away?

Through all the changes, I still stand tall,
Never will I let these feelings fall.
