By definition, civil law is “A body of rules that delineate private rights and remedies and govern disputes between individuals in such areas as contracts, property, and Family Law; distinct from criminal or public law.”
Examples: murder, attack, robbery, and drunken driving. Civil law deals with actions that constitute damage to a person or other private party, such as a corporation. Examples : insult (including defame), break of the agreement, inattention resulting in wound or death, and property damage.
