Write a short note on Dictionaries.

Dictionaries arrange the words in a language in a certain order (alphabetical order is more common). It gives meanings of words, synonyms and etymology. There are various types of dictionaries: comprehensive dictionaries, dictionaries which include only certain types of words, dictionaries of terminology (deals with terms peculiar to a branch of knowledge), etymological dictionaries, thesauruses, dictionaries of idioms and proverbs, etc.
