Secondary sexual characteristics in males include increased height, a large Adam's apple in the throat region, a deep voice, the growth of beards, moustaches, and pubic hair, as well as hair on the chest, thighs, and armpits. Female secondary sexual characteristics include increased height but shorter stature than boys, less facial hair, pubic hair growth, armpit hair, a high-pitched voice, and breast development. Other traits include a broader pelvis, fat deposition around the hips, and smoother skin texture.
