Dear Dominic,

I hope you're doing great! I just experienced the kite festival in Gujarat, Ahmedabad, and it was absolutely amazing! This festival, called Uttarayan, marks the transition from winter to summer. The city bursts into colors as everyone, young and old, flies kites from dawn till dusk.

The sky looked like a giant canvas filled with kites of all colors and sizes. The joy in the air was contagious, with music, laughter, and shouts of "Kai Po Che!" every time a kite string was cut. I even flew a kite myself, and though it was challenging at first, I quickly got the hang of it. It felt thrilling to see my kite soar high in the sky.

We also enjoyed delicious foods like jalebis and undhiyu, keeping our spirits high. As night fell, the sky lit up with tukkals, or illuminated kites, making it look like a starry night.

It was a heartwarming experience, sharing this joy with so many people. I really wish you could have been there to see it. I hope we can enjoy it together someday. Until then, I’m sending you a piece of the happiness I felt during the festival.

Take care and write back soon!

Your loving friend,

Natasha.
