About
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a Board of Education for public and private schools under the Union Government of India, established on 3rd November 1962.
One of India's most esteemed and favoured educational bodies is the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The CBSE Board strives to offer a comprehensive and healthy education to all its students, so they can have enough room to grow intellectually and physically. The CBSE Board is renowned for its extensive syllabus and carefully designed exam format, which aids students in developing a thorough understanding of the whole curriculum. The NCERT curriculum is used in about 20,102 of the board's schools.
CBSE conducts the final examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 every year in March. The results will be announced by the end of May. The board earlier conducted the AIEEE Examination for admission to undergraduate courses in engineering and architecture in colleges across India. However, the AIEEE exam was merged with the IIT-Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) in 2013. The common examination is now called JEE (Main).
Exam Pattern for CBSE
The Central Board of Secondary Education evaluates students in two areas:
Scholastic: In this, pupils pay attention to fundamental academic subjects. They are taught all basic disciplines, including social science, science, maths, and language.
Co-scholastic: This category comprises extracurricular activities crucial to a student's growth, such as athletics, music, art, and craftwork. This was implemented to promote student health and fitness since it improves studying.
To evaluate the academic subjects, the Scholastic areas conduct Formative Assessment and Summative Assessment assessments throughout the academic year.
CBSE Board Grading System
No marks but grades are given to students. Eligible for Improvement of Performance (EIOP) and Eligible for Qualifying Certificate (QUAL) are the two categories into which the CBSE results are divided.
