उत्तर
100, ₹ 100 shares (paying 10% dividend) are bought at a discount of ₹ 20 and another 100, ₹ 100 shares (paying 10% dividend) are bought at ₹ 120. The total dividend earned is ₹ 2,000.
Explanation:
For first 100 shares:
F.V of one share = ₹ 100
M.V of one share = ₹ 100 – ₹ 20 = ₹ 80
Rate of dividend = 10%
Dividend on one share = 10% of ₹ 100
= `10/100 xx 100`
= ₹ 10
Dividend on 100 shares = 100 × 10
= ₹ 1000
For another 100 shares:
F.V of one share = ₹ 100
Rate of dividend = 10%
M.V of one share = ₹ 120
∴ Dividend on one share
= 10% of ₹ 100
= ₹ 10
`\implies` Dividend on 100 shares
= 100 × 10
= ₹ 1000
∴ Total dividend earned
= ₹ 1000 + ₹ 1000
= ₹ 2000
