प्रश्न

A bag contains cards numbered from 1 to 49. A card is drawn from the bag at random, after mixing the cards thoroughly. Find the probability that the number on the drawn card is multiple of 5.

उत्तर

Total number of cards = 49

Total number of outcomes = 49

The numbers 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 are multiples of 5.

Total number of favourable outcomes = 9

Required probability `="Total number of favourable outcomes"/"Total number of outcomes"=9/49`
