प्रश्न

A bag contains cards numbered from 1 to 49. A card is drawn from the bag at random, after mixing the cards thoroughly. Find the probability that the number on the drawn card is a perfect square.

उत्तर

Total number of cards = 49

Total number of outcomes = 49

The numbers 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36 and 49 are perfect squares.

Total number of favourable outcomes = 7

Required probability `="Total number of favourable outcomes"/"Total number of outcomes"=7/49`
