प्रश्न
A bus covers 128 km in 2 hours and a train covers 240 km in 3 hours. Find the ratio of their speeds.
उत्तर
A bus covers 128 km in 2 hours.
Speed of the bus = `"Distance"/"Time"="128 km"/"2 hr"` = 64 km/ hr
A train covers 240 km in 3 hours.
Speed of the train =`"Distance"/"Time"="240 km"/"3 hr"` = 80 km /hr
Ratio of their speeds = 64 : 80 =`64/80=(64 ÷ 16)/(80 ÷ 16)=4/5`
∴ The ratio of the speeds of the bus and the train = 4:5
