प्रश्न
A child staying in a coastal region tests the drinking water and also the seawater with his tester. He finds that the compass needle deflects more in the case of seawater. Can you explain the reason?
उत्तर
We know that if salt is present in water, it becomes a good conductor of electricity, due to which the magnetic needle of the circuit deflects. Since sea water contains more salt than drinking water, the magnetic needle shows more deflection for sea water.
