When a coin and a die are tossed the sample space S is given by
∴ S = {H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, H6, T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6}
∴ n(S) = 12
Let A: Getting a head and an even number
A = {H2, H4, H6}
∴ n(A) = 3
