प्रश्न
A gas of mass 32 gms has a volume of 20 liters at S.T.P. Calculate the gram molecular weight of the gas.
उत्तर १
Given:
Mass of gas = 32 g
The volume occupied by 32 gms of gas = 20 liters
Number of moles of gas = `"volume of gas"/"molar gas volume" = 20/22.4 = 0.89~~ 0.9`
Number of moles of gas = `"Mass of gas"/"Gram molecular weight of gas"`
The gram molecular weight of gas = `"Mass of gas"/"Number of moles of gas" = 32/0.9 = 35.55 g`
