प्रश्न
A machine is marked at ₹5000 and is sold at a discount of 10%. Find the selling price of the machine.
उत्तर
Marked price (M.P.) of the machine = ₹ 5000
Rate of discount = 10%
∴ Amount of discount = `₹ 5000 xx 10/100 = ₹ 500`
∴ Selling price = M.P. - discount
= ₹ 5000 - ₹ 500 = ₹ 4500
