A person can feel glare in the eyes when entering a brightly lit room from a dark corridor. This is because the pupil of the eyes are large when the person is walking in a dark corridor, and as the person enters a brightly lit room, a large amount of light enters the eyes; hence, he or she feels glare in the eyes. It takes some time for the pupil to get adjusted to the intensity of the surrounding light, and gradually, they contract.
