उत्तर

Let x be the cost price.

List Price = x + 16 % of x = Rs x + `16/100 xx x = "Rs"  (116 x)/100`

Sales tax = 12 %  of the list price.

=`12/100 xx "Rs"  (116  x)/100`

= Rs `(1392  x)/10000`

Therefore, total cost of mobile = list price + sales tax

= Rs `(116  x)/100 + (1392  x)/10000`

= Rs `(12992  x)/10000`

But, total price =Rs 29,232

⇒ `(12992  x)/10000` = Rs 29232

⇒ x = Rs  `(29232 xx 10000)/12992`

⇒ x = Rs 22, 500

Hence, the cost price of the mobile =Rs 22,500
