There are two major classification systems for psychological disorders. They are the DSM and ICD Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders, which were initially published in 1952 and have since been revised on a regular basis. The current edition, DSM-5, was released in 2013. It includes 22 broad categories of mental diseases, each with numerous sub-categories.
