उत्तर
- Non-alignment: In 1961, Belgrade hosted the first non-cultural summit conference. The concept of non-alignment was founded on two fundamental principles: an independent view of global affairs and a peace strategy. The principle of non-alignment does not imply that governments would stay inert and neutral in international politics. It desires states to take an active role in global issues in order to promote peace and development.
- Sovereignty and territorial integrity: All states prioritize safeguarding their sovereignty and territorial integrity while developing foreign policies. The state is now responsible for protecting its inhabitants' property and interests, as well as the protection of national borders.
- Non-intervention in internal affairs: The principle of non-intervention in internal affairs of states means that a state should not intervene in the internal affairs of other states in a dictatorial manner.
- Belief in peaceful coexistence: This enables us to foster a more empathic and understanding community in which we can make agreements and resolve problems peacefully. India maintained close relations with China, Nepal, and other surrounding nations, and it played a vital role in resolving issues peacefully.
- Active engagement in international organizations: Another foreign policy concept is to actively participate in international organizations such as the UN, NAM, the Common Wealth, and regional groups such as the European Union and the G-20 in order to advance India's interests in the international arena.
