प्रश्न

Calculate the equivalent resistance between P and Q from the following diagram:

टीपा लिहा

उत्तर

`1/"R"_1 = 1/20 + 1/5`

`1/"R"_1 = (1 + 4)/20 = 5/20`

R1 = 4 Ω

Now, 3 Ω, 4 Ω and 2 Ω in series.

So, R = 3 + 4 + 2 = 9 Ω

You have three resistors of values 2 `Omega`, 3 `Omega`, and 5 `Omega`. How will you join them so that the total resistance is less than 2 `Omega`?

Choose the correct alternative and rewrite the following:

You are given three equal resistances. In how many combinations can they are arranged?

Answer the following question.
While studying the dependence of potential difference ( V) across a resistor on the current (I) passing through it, in order to determine the resistance of the resistor, a student took 5 readings for different values of current and plotted a graph between V and t. He got a straight line graph passing through the origin. What does the straight-line signify? Write the method of determining the resistance of the resister using this graph.

Three resistors of 6Ω, 3Ω and 2Ω are connected together so that their total resistance is greater than 6Ω but less than 8Ω Draw a diagram to show this arrangement and calculate its total resistance.

Six equal resistors of 1 ohm each are connected to form the sides of a hexagon ABCDEF. Calculate the resistance offered by the combination if the current enters at A and leaves it at D.

Two wires of same material and same lengths have radii in the ratio of 2 : 3, Compare their resistances.

If the current I through a resistor is increased by 100% (assume that temperature remains unchanged), the increase in power dissipated will be:
