प्रश्न
Chelannur village has a milk society. Geetha and Ammini went there to buy 4 litres of milk. But the man could not find the one-litre measure. He had only a 3 litre and a 5-litre bottle with him. But he gave them exactly 4 litres of milk. Explain how he did this.
उत्तर
First of all, he measure 2 times with 5 liter bottle in a container which becomes
= 5 L × 2
= 10 L
Then he pour out 3L of milk thrice, by this way he poured out total milk
= 3 L × 3
= 9 L
The milk left in the container
= 10 L - 9 L
= 1 L
Using this process the milkman gave 1 L of milk using 3 L and 5 L bottles.
