Describe the Miller and Urey experiment on the origin of life

Miller and Urey designed an apparatus of glass bottles and flask for circulating steam through a mixture of ammonia, methane, and hydrogen. The steam-gas mixture was subjected to high electric spark and then condensed to the liquid before the cycle was repeated again. The experiment was run continuously for about a week and after a week, it was found that simple organic compounds such as sugar, amino acids, hydroxy acids, urea etc. were synthesized. This showed the abiotic synthesis of organic molecules in the presence of reducing the atmosphere
