The young man who entered the coach gave out a smothered curse. He was engaged in searching for something elusive angrily and uselessly. He exclaimed that Mr. Sletherby was going to Bill Manor. He introduced himself as Bertie, the younger son of Mrs. Saltpen-Jago.
