प्रश्न
Each side of a square tile is 60 cm. How many tiles will be required to cover the floor of a hall with length = 50 m and breadth = 36 m.
उत्तर
Area of each square tile = (side)2
= (60 cm)2 = (0.6 m)2
= 0.6 m × 0.6 m = 0.36 m2
And, area to be covered by the tiles = length × breadth
= 50 m × 36 m
= 1800 m2
∴ Required no. of tiles
=`"Area to be covered by tiles"/"Area of each tiles"`
`= (1800 "m"^2)/(0.36 "m"^2) = 5000`
