Explain the classification of acids based on their basicity.

1. Monobasic Acid:
The acid that contains only one replaceable hydrogen atom per molecule is called monobasic acid. It gives one hydrogen ion per molecule of the acid in solutions.

Example: HCl, HNO₃.

2. Dibasic Acid:
An acid which gives two hydrogen ions per molecule of the acid in solution.

Example: H₂SO₄, H₂CO₃‘

3. Tribasic Acid:
An acid which gives three hydrogen ions per molecule of the acid in solution.
Example: H₃PO₄.
