Linguism

Linguism has its origin in linguistic division of states and linguistic minorities within the state. Linguism emerges when language becomes the basis for conflict between people. It is a form of excessive loyalty towards one’s own language.
Example: The notion of Hindi as an official language of the union does not find complete acceptance across the country, indicating linguism.
