2. Technical Measures: Technical measures include product standardisation. The Indian government founded the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and Agmark. BIS is designed for industrial and consumer items, whereas Agmark is intended for agricultural products. BIS was previously known as the Indian Standard Institution (ISI), and its headquarters are in New Delhi. It is in charge of developing scientifically sound standards for industrial and consumer goods, as well as certifying goods that fulfil the standards and quality requirements.
