प्रश्न
Find the compound ratio of the following:
If A : B = 4 : 5, B : C = 6 : 7 and C : D = 14 : 15. Find A : D.
उत्तर
Given A : B = 4 : 5, B : C = 6 : 7 and C : D = 14 : 15
or
`"A"/"B" = (4)/(5), "B"/"C" = (6)/(7), "C"/"D" = (14)/(15)`
Multiply all `"A"/"B" xx "B"/"C" xx "C"/"D" = (4)/(5) xx (6)/(7) xx (14)/(15)`
`"A"/"D" = (16)/(25)`
∴ A : D = 16 : 25.
