In ${\displaystyle \frac{3}{8} \text{and} \frac{4}{9}}$ , LCM of 8 and 9 = 72

${\displaystyle \therefore \frac{3}{8}=\frac{3\times 9}{8\times 9}=\frac{27}{72}}$

and ${\displaystyle \frac{4}{9}=\frac{4\times 8}{9\times 8}=\frac{32}{72}}$

It is clear from above that ${\displaystyle \frac{32}{72}>\frac{27}{72}}$

Hence ${\displaystyle \frac{32}{72}\text{or}\frac{4}{9}}$ is greater.
