Find the ratio of 5 m to 10 km.

Since 1 km = 1000 m,

Hence 10 km = 10 × 1000 = 10000 m

Then ratio of 5 m to 10000 m = 5:10000

= `5/10000`

= `1/2000`

= 1:2000
