उत्तर

Total quantities of potatoes = 120 kg

(i) Quantity of potatoes he sold

`= 6  "kg" + 5 1/4 "kg" + 9 1/2 "kg" + 9 3/4 "kg"`

`= (6 + 21/4 + 19/2 + 39/4) "kg"`

`=(24 + 21 + 38 + 39)/4` kg

`= 122/4 = 61/2 "kg" = 30 1/2 "kg"`

(ii) Quantity of potatoes left

= 120 kg - `30 1/2` kg =`(120/1 - 61/2) "kg"`

`= (240 - 61)/2 = 179/2` kg = `89 1/2` kg
