प्रश्न
In certain seasons we sweat profusely while in some other season we shiver. Explain.
उत्तर
Our body is very adaptable. It tries to maintain a constant internal environment while the external environmental condition is changing. This adaptability (homeothermy) is very important for our survival. In summers, when the external conditions are too hot, our body sweats in order to cool itself, while in winters, when the external environment is cold, our body shivers to keep us warm.
