Moreover, agriculture and other industries are heavily dependent on minerals. It is therefore important to conserve them. This can be done by:
1. Improving the technology to allow use of low grade ores at low costs
2. Recycling of metals
3. Using scrap metals and other substitutes
4. Using the available minerals in a planned manner
