Adding 4 on both sides, we get
– 6 < 7x < 14
Dividing both sides by 7, we get
`- 6/7 < "x" < 14/7`
∴ `- 6/7 < "x" < 2`
∴ x takes all real values between `-6/7` and 2.
∴ Solution set = `(-6/7,2)`
