प्रश्न
State and briefly explain the patterns of Attachment as given by Mary Ainsworth and Lamb.
उत्तर
Mary Ainsworth and John Bowlby noted three attachment patterns between infants and their caretakers. These three types of attachment are uncertain, avoiding, and secure. Unorganized attachment is a fourth pattern that Erik Hesse and Mary Main later added.
- A kid with a stable connection is happy to explore their environment, but he requires the caregiver's presence when he feels nervous or distressed.
- When a child has a protective attachment, they avoid or neglect their parent or guardian and show little to no distress when they are away from them.
- An uncertainly attached child is typically in need, dependent on their parent, and experiences extreme distress when they are separated from them.
- Children who act wildly or unpredictably in front of their parents display symptoms of an unorganized connection. These attachment patterns are believed to be influenced by the caregiver's openness and responsiveness to the child's needs.
