Amritsar and Lahore:- The anti-Rowlatt protest was intense in Punjab, especially in Amritsar and Lahore.
Delhi:- All India Khilafat Conference was held at Delhi in November 1919. Gandhi gave his support to khilafat movement by Ali brothers for the cause of Hindu-Muslim unity.
Calcutta:- In a special session, the Indian National Congress approved the Non-cooperation movement worked to control Hindu Muslim conflict after the announcement of the partition of India, (communal violence)
Gorakhpur:- On 5 February 1922 a procession of the nationalists in Chauri Chaura, a village near Gorakhpur in present-day Uttar Pradesh provoked by the police turned violent.
Sabarmati Ashram:- At the break of dawn on 12 March 1930 Gandhi set out from Sabarmati Ashram with 78 of its inmates.
Dandi:- At the age of 61, Gandhi covered a distance of 241 miles in 24 days to reach Dandi at sunset on 5 April 1930. Gandhi breaks the salt law by picking up salt from the coast at Dandi. (Dandi March).
Vedaranyam:- In Tamil Nadu, C. Rajaji led a similar salt march from Tiruchirappalli to Vedaranyam.
Champaran:- A Satyagraha campaign conducted against the oppression of the peasants by the Indigo planters.
Kheda:- Gandhi helped to conduct kheda Satyagraha (1918) No-tax provincial struggle by the peasants ended successfully.
Jallianwala Bagh:- Massacre of thousands of people. Nationwide Satyagraha and Vigorously Gandhi enter into the Indian National Movement.
Chauri Chaura:- A procession was conducted as a part of non-cooperation movement. Gandhi advised the participants not to indulge in violence. Violence broke out Gandhi immediately suspended the movement.
Nagpur:- Non-Cooperation movement was adopted in the congress session chaired by Salem C. Vijayaraghawachariar.
Allahabad:- Khilafat committee adopted Gandhi’s non-violence and non-cooperation programme.
Madras:- Gandhi visited more than 20 times. During his Harijan Tour in Madurai, he discards his following robes and wears a simple Dhoti.
Poona:- Gandhi underwent fasting unconditionally against the separate electorates for the depressed classes, (a campaign against untouchability).
Lahore:- In the All India Congress Session authorised Gandhi to launch the civil disobedience movement.
Wardha:- Undertook as the Headquarters of Satyagraha. All India villages Industries Association formed the Idea of Quit India originated.
Bombay:- Quit India Resolution was passed to end the British rule in India.
