प्रश्न
Summarize the rules for writing of distribution of electrons in various shells for the first eighteen elements.
उत्तर
The distribution of elements in different orbits is determined by the Bohr-Bury scheme. There are the following rules:
- The formula 2n2 represents the maximum number of electrons in any shell, where n equals the number of orbits.
- The outermost shell can accept up to eight electrons.
- Electrons in an atom do not enter a new shell until all of the inner shells are filled.
