प्रश्न

Suppose P(B) = `2/5`. Express the odds event B occurs

बेरीज

उत्तर

P(B) = `2/5`

Then P(B') = 1 – P(B)

= `1 - 2/5`

= `(5 - 2)/5`

= `3/5`

`("P"("B'"))/("P"("B")) = (3/5)/(2/5)`

= `3/5 xx 5/2`

= `3/2`

∴ The odds that the event B occurs is 2 to 3.
