He was advised to take an injection, Insulin, which helps in the conversion of glucose into glycogen, which is stored in the liver. It decreases the concentration of glucose in the blood.

- Eat a balanced healthy diet
- Limit alcohol intake
- Quit smoking
- Control the blood pressure
