प्रश्न
"The main criteria for inclusion in civil society are that the organisation should not be state controlled, and it should not be a purely commercial profit-making entity.", Discuss the given statement at length.
उत्तर
The group that exists outside of the private domains of the family, the state, and the market is known as civil society. It is a non-state and non-market portion of the public domain where people voluntarily come together to form organisations. Here, the citizen is engaged and social issues are raised in an effort to influence the state and put pressure on it to ensure the welfare of particular groups within society. However, the group must not be under the authority of the state and must not be a for-profit business to qualify for membership in civil society. They frequently consist of trade unions, political parties, and other organisations. Private televisions can be considered to be a part of civic society, but Doordarshan cannot.
