उत्तर

When two dice are rolled, total number of possible outcomes = 36

Favorable outcomes for the sum of number between 5 and 8 i.e. 6 or 7 are:

{(1, 5),(1, 6),(2, 4),(2, 5),(3, 3),(3, 4),(4, 2),(4, 3),(5, 1),(5, 2),(6, 1)}

Number of favorable outcomes = 11

P(getting a sum of 6 or 7) = `11/36`
