प्रश्न
Two numbers are respectively 20 percent and 50 percent more than a third number. What percent is the second of the first?
उत्तर
Let the third number = x
∴ First number = `x + (20)/(100) x`
= `(100x + 20x)/(100)`
= `(120x)/(100)`
Second number = `x + (50)/(100) x`
= `(100x + 50x)/(100)`
= `(150x)/(100)`
Required % = `((150x)/(100))/((120x)/(100)`
= `(150x)/(100) xx (100)/(120x) xx 100`
= `(150 xx 100)/(120)`
= `(1500)/(12)`
= 125%
